Gain proficiency in using MF/HF/VHF radio equipment on vessels operation beyond coastal limits

Develop skills to manage distress, urgency and safety communications, including proper use of alarm signals and emergency protocols

Understand the functions and operations of various radio equipment found on non GDMSS ships, including EPIRB's and other emergency communication tools

Learn how to initiate and respond to emergency calls, including Mayday, Pan-Pan and Sécurité messages.
This online program covers the theory and written assessment for the Maritime General Radio Operators Certificate (MGROC)
This course includes two online exams, which will be marked by WDSFS. Upon successful completion, there is an additional practical and oral assessment to demonstrate competency before the issue of the radio licence MGROC.
